Claudia has been a lawyer since 2012. Before founding her own law firm in 2016 she worked at Hengeler Mueller, advising clients in the fields of litigation and arbitration, banking, regulation and compliance. In April 2017 she started Recht innovativ (Ri), a German interprofessional scientific periodical publication on digitisation. As a publisher, editor-in-chief, event organiser, speaker and lawyer she stands for wise digitisation and innovation as well as modern education.
Dr. Wolfgang Dannhorn
Wolfgang is a lawyer, specialist in the field of employment law and CEO of Cetonis GmbH and Cetonis Software GmbH, Stuttgart. When it comes to highly complex cases, he is able to identify the sticking points and translate problems into easily comprehensible numbers. In addition, his qualified team of programmers help to solve the clients' case in a more efficient and effective way.
Our work is transparent, thorough and fast.
You can reach us and obtain all details of your case anytime, anywhere.
COT Legal is located at OpernTurm, next to the Old Opera in the city of Frankfurt am Main.
COT Legal offers its clients an easier, rapid and transparent service. Our clients do not have to call the lawyer in order to find out about the current status of their project. They have full access and may leave questions and answers anytime attached to the documents accessible in the project's file.
We are modern jurists.
We find a solution to your problem, not a problem for your solution.
Why COT's the best fit:
Precision. Easy comprehension. Efficiency.
We use technologies that enable us to be faster and more thorough. Efficiency is key for a small law firm like COT Legal. In addition, guiding clients through complex and difficult fields of law is essential. We could not offer best services without modern technology.
A lawyer has to be more than just an advisor. She has to be a companion. Almost 14 years of experience in law firms form the basis for your road to success with Claudia as your lawyer.
We advise on
employment law (employers only)
banking/financial markets regulation
legal profession and law (e.g. Legal Tech)
product safety law
protection of critical infrastructures
telecommunications and media law
Legal Hackers (pro bono)
COT Legal is committed to promoting a better understanding of law and technology. We are convinced that interdisciplinary exchange is the key to a well-digitized future. However, exchange should be non-commercial and two-sided. That is why Claudia and Wolfgang initiated the first German Legal Hackers Chapter in Germany. The meetup Group was created on 27 February 2018. Join us! Find out more:
Whatever you need - we can assist from A to Z, offering everything from advice to representation in negotiations and court. Assistance also includes project management, for example in so-called internal investigations. COT Legal knows the best partners for professional document review. Just drop us a message - we will find the perfect solution. If you wish to use GPG messaging, please use the personal direct mail (see section "Team").
In case of high complexity you have to stay calm and focussed on the stakes.
We have discovered the balance of two presumedly opposing forces:
Claudia and Wolfgang, including Cetonis, made legal and technical services to become intertwined. Clients do not have to look for and coordinate more providers than necessary. We, as a perfect match, speaking the same language, can offer a perfectly coordinated solution.
Do you need legal and professional technical support while implementing your blockchain or smart contract project? COT Legal and Cetonis offer both in cooperation. Claudia and Wolfgang are the perfect fit for your perfect solution offering, amongst others, code review with focus on technical as well as legal questions and legal contracts in conformity with the law and your needs.
Our approach in huge projects is very different. We convert your project into much clearer numbers and Euros. Our partner Cetonis GmbH is able to build tools that allow you to play with your options and see the results before they happen. We want you to be able to make a decision based on a 360° understanding.
We are interested in finding solutions to problems which have a great impact on society and economy. How can citizen life and state administration be simplified without making them simpler, i.e. reducing the importance or worth, and without infringing rights? Is Distributed Ledger Technology the right solution? What do we learn from failure? How can we implement A.I. in a reasonable way? We don't talk about it: We test!
We are specialists in areas nobody would have ever thought existed.
Learn from us. Keep yourself informed.
The news section will be updated soon. Stay tuned.
It combines legal and technical knowledge in a completely new way.
Ri 02/2017 and Ri 01/2018 were published in cooperation with dfv before Claudia found a new partner: Springer Fachmedien.
The issues' topics involve smart payments, "Legal Tech" as a buzzword (LTaaB ;)), blockchain, smart contracts, chatbots, and cyber security.
Questions regarding the content are welcome.
The first Ri was self-published on 19 April 2017.
Everyone discusses Blockchain and Smart Contracts, but only a few people do understand them. Ri explains the "hard stuff" in an easily comprehensible manner, both the technical and legal side. Always with a dash of humor.
The Ri 03/2018 was published on 1 November 2018 and is (shortly) - next to her sister in English - available for free on the website of springerprofessional.de.
Springer Fachmedien marks the beginning of a new, very innovative era in 2019. We hope you will accompany us as loyal readers.
